I actually had a few questions about the last scene.

Kakurenbo = Hide and Seek?

The moment "Secret Base" (the Anohana ending) starts to play, you know you're in for an emotional rollercoaster. Today on Anime Phrases 101, Sophie and YT attempt to analyze the end of the last episode of Anohana. In the last scene of the anime, all the characters play hide and seek (called "kakurenbo" in Japanese); but we noticed that the way that the game is played in the anime is a little different from the way it's normally played in the US. What do the words that the characters say to each other mean? Find out in the video!

Let us know what hide and seek is like in your country in the comments!
